how the system works.
The unique WATERPulser, designed and patented by Intertec, Inc. of Lynchburg, Virginia, sends watermist dancing among your plants throughout your landscape.

Emitters are placed eight feet apart and are sequentially pulsed to save water. A thin tubing feeds the emitters and is connected to your outdoor faucet. An automatic on-off controller is optional.
WATERPulser has many advantages over other systems.

Convenience: There are no hoses to drag around.
Water use: The emitters are activated about 1 second out of every 10.
Soil moisture: Pulsed spreading of water mist gives the soil time for absorption and thus avoids harmful puddles.
Accuracy: The water is placed where it's needed.
Dependability: Waterpulsers have been in use in large orchards for many years.
Simplicity: Connects directly to outdoor faucet. (an electrical controller is optional)
Maintenance: Nozzle openings are very large and thus resist annoying clogging.
Cost: A typical residential system starts at a modest $450.
WATERPulser has been in use in commercial applications for many years, with systems
installed in MI, NJ, MD, VA, NC, TX, and NY.
It is now available to homeowners at an
affordable price.

Other practical applications for WATERPulser include:

Green Houses
Poultry and Industrial Buildings (roof cooling)
Orchards
Vineyards
Horse Arenas (dust control)

NEWSROOM
February 1997. (Agricultural Research) A cooperative research and development agreement could lead to more efficient irrigation systems for commercial fruits and vegetables, landscaping, nurseries, and home gardens. ARS scientists will merge their patented tensiometer valve with a pulse irrigation system patented by Intertec, Inc., of Lynchburg, Virginia. As the soil dries, increasing suction makes the tensiometer valve open, so water is delivered as needed. Then, when the soil receives enough water, suction decreases and the valve closes. The system requires no electricity or wiring. The tensiometer valve can reduce water use and leaching of fertilizer nutrients below the root zone, while maintaining high crop productivity. D. Michael Glenn and D.L. Peterson, USDA-ARS, Appalachian Fruit Research Station, Hearneysville, West Virginia, phone: 304-725-3451.

A beautifully landscaped yard makes a house look like a home. Maintaining your plants and keeping them healthy, however, can be a challenge, since Nature has always been fickle in providing the proper amounts of moisture at the proper time.

Your plants deserve the best---and the best is WATERPulser. Plants love this ingenuous irrigation system, since it puts the water mist where it is needed, skipping from place to place throughout your landscaped areas---something a garden hose and typical sprinklers cannot do.
